Having established himself as a skilled hunter during Lewis and Clark's Expedition into the newly acquired Louisiana Territory, John Colter decides to remain in the wild and dive into the thriving fur trade. However, after consistently dismissing the Blackfeet's warnings against hunting their revered beaver in their territory, he finds himself captured and must flee for his life.
