Under the cover of darkness, Jim and Oboe venture to the swamp to catch a glimpse of the elusive Swamp Maiden, who makes her rare appearance just once each year. Ignoring the cautions of the Swamp Thing, the duo is joined by a newspaper visitor. Together, they soon discover the true significance behind the phrase "looks that kill."
