Susan Ryeland, a former book editor, is trying to keep her struggling hotel afloat in Crete alongside her partner Andreas. Their lives take a turn when a couple arrives, seeking Susan’s assistance in locating their missing daughter. They suspect that her disappearance may be linked to a murder that occurred at their hotel in England, as well as to an Alan Conway novel that was based on the incident.
