Peter has arranged for the ransom to be handed over to Allegre's kidnappers. Blake begins to question Peter's reluctance to involve the police and is frustrated by Fallon's choice to marry him. Meanwhile, Kirby experiences another seizure, prompting doctors to decide on an operation to save her baby. Congressman McVane seeks Mark's assistance in blackmailing Alexis. Claudia receives yet another delivery of violets from her mysterious admirer, 'Lancelot.' Overcome with guilt, Adam confesses to Blake that he was the one who attempted to poison Jeff, not Alexis. Just as Blake is trying to process this, Kirby's doctor arrives with news that while Kirby has survived, they could not save her baby girl.
