Kirby finds himself on trial, facing accusations from Sgt. Midcaff, who alleges that Kirby fled from the enemy. In his defense, Kirby insists there was a machine gun nest in their path. Once Kirby persuades Saunders of his honesty, it becomes Saunders and Caje's mission to uncover evidence that supports Kirby’s claim about the machine gun nest.
