After freeing imprisoned members of the French resistance, the team finds refuge in a deserted mine. When they come under attack from German forces, Americans, Germans, and French soldiers find themselves trapped together. In a surprising turn of events, they agree to collaborate to escape the cave, discovering a shared sense of humanity amidst their differences.
