Kirk checks into the hospital to have a foreign object surgically removed from his nose, which puts Larry, Darryl, and the notably slimmer Darryl in charge of the café. Meanwhile, Dick and Joanna are preparing to head to New York for a writer's conference but find themselves needing to rescue the trio when an unexpected influx of customers arrives at the café.
