When a fierce storm traps Syd at a secluded lighthouse with the reclusive Graham (guest star Alastair Duncan), she starts to uncover the depth of his hidden anguish. Meanwhile, Joanie and Burt make a hasty decision to elope, leading to chaotic consequences. In another storyline, Robbie faces a court hearing for orchestrating illegal bets on pee-wee hockey games. As a penalty, he is assigned to coach the worst team in the league, where he meets a charming single mother of one of the players (guest star Maria Pitillo) and the overbearing father (guest star Michael McGrady) of another struggling skater.
