Syd's romantic prospects take a turn for the better when she crosses paths with a charming young single dad. However, their budding relationship faces a harsh reality when Syd discovers he has a congenital heart issue that leads to blackouts and poses a risk of sudden death. Meanwhile, Joanie finds herself in a tricky situation as she pretends to be in a happy relationship with her gay assistant, Elliot, to convince a bank officer to approve a loan for building expansion. Additionally, Robbie's relationship with the unpredictable Tina turns out to be full of ups and downs.
