Kaneki struggles to resist the overwhelming desire to consume human flesh, the only thing that can truly quell his ghoul hunger. He reunites with Hide, who accompanies him on a task, bringing him some comfort. However, Kaneki's deteriorating state raises concerns about the potential danger he might pose to Hide.
