Joannie is thrilled when she’s accepted into a theater company, landing her first role as a gopher and understudy. When the lead actress unexpectedly drops out, Joannie has just 24 hours to memorize her lines, not realizing that Tom plans to review the play for a drama clinic while on vacation. Meanwhile, the Bradford kids are trying to guilt Abby into letting the family use her car. On another front, Nicholas finds himself struggling to escape the attention of a girl who has a crush on him.
