The challenges of medical school weigh heavily on Susan, Elizabeth, and Nancy as they navigate their demanding professors. They turn to Tommy for a drive, but he hesitates, feeling embarrassed to be seen with his teacher and friends. Eventually, Tom steps in to give Tommy a driving lesson. Meanwhile, tired of Mary’s frustrations about studying at home, Tom surprises her with her own apartment for a quieter place to prepare for her medical exams. With her new setup, Mary returns home, where the entire family rallies around her to support her studying.
