In a secluded cornfield, a corpse cleverly disguised as a scarecrow is discovered, complete with a gunshot wound, prompting the team to race against an impending storm that threatens to compromise crucial evidence. Booth and Brennan question the victim's three wives, who are also sisters, uncovering deep-rooted jealousy and rivalry over their husband's affection that has torn their family apart. They also interview a relative who was opposed to the victim's polygamous lifestyle. Meanwhile, Cam grapples with her waning confidence in her relationship with her on-call doctor boyfriend, leading both to realize they need to prioritize their connection.
