The SWAT team collaborates with Lieutenant Piper Lynch, a high-ranking officer from the LAPD's Hollywood Division, as the mayor tasks her with coordinating city departments to combat a serial bomber utilizing drones for explosions. Meanwhile, Hondo’s life takes a turn as he adjusts to his new role as legal guardian to his teenage charge, Darryl, while facing the unexpected challenge of his estranged father moving in with them, complicating their home dynamic.
