Our host shows up to see the crew fishing off the remnants of the porch's historic features, which they were able to recreate using a home movie from a former owner. Charlie is busy installing a new downspot that has an upgraded fastening mechanism. Inside, Tom Silva and the master carpenter have put up the new kitchen cabinets, while Jeff Hoskings has restored the floors in both the kitchen and living room. Tilers Joe and Chuck Ferrante are starting on the countertops, using a custom tile backer board and handcrafted Arts-and-Crafts style tiles. Lastly, we observe the installation of a genuine linoleum floor in the mudroom.
