The Tunnel
S26E21 Mantel Troubles - The Carlisle House
In the barn, Norm collaborates with chimney expert Mark Schaub to assess the safety and code compliance of the oak lintel above the fireplace. Meanwhile, Kevin gets a glimpse of the dining room's furniture and fabrics from interior designer Alexa Hampton. At Mark White's showroom, Kevin explores high-density polyurethane trim with millwork specialist Mark White, while Tom provides insight into the mechanical room's design. However, a surprise arises when Norm discovers that the fireplace fails its safety test, necessitating a switch from wood to a masonry lintel. Later, cabinet specialist Maureen MacDonald showcases the newly installed cabinets, and the day wraps up with the eagerly awaited built-ins for the library arriving.
