S05E07 Mama
Mama Maybelle comes to Glenlawn to see Nell and shares the news that she needs an eye surgery, expressing her worry about the possibility of losing her sight forever. She tells Nell how much she will miss seeing things, but on a positive note, she mentions that her hearing might get stronger, allowing her to appreciate Nell's singing even more. Nell feels delighted that her mother acknowledges her talent. Ultimately, Mama Maybelle successfully comes through the operation, and her family is there to welcome her back with open arms.
