The crew lands on the advanced planet of Rokari, only to discover that a comet is on a collision course with the world, giving them just 60 hours to act. However, the ruling body known as the Commonality dismisses their warning, claiming they’ve evolved beyond traditional language. In a twist, the team rescues a member of an underground group that promotes literacy and leads them to a secret library containing crucial information about the planet's defense mechanisms. Harrison deciphers the language, enabling the team to activate the defenses. Ultimately, the Commonality recognizes the importance of written communication, leading to a positive resolution.
