S01E20 The Answer
Upon arriving on Octasar, the team meets Dr. Carrie Mason from the SGC, who is collaborating with a local scientist, Dr. Bri'sal. He is pursuing a universal telepathy project during a scientific conference and is convinced that the Tlak'khan can assist him, unaware that they are manipulating him, as his peers are against his research. Stacey eavesdrops on their conversation while the rest of the team tries to persuade Mason of their loyalty. Mason remains skeptical, and when the project is activated, the Tlak'khan seize control. The team retaliates, but the mind-controlled scientists attack them. In a pivotal moment, Mason seizes Da'kyll's device, liberating everyone and forcing the Tlak'khan to retreat.
