S03E22 The Child Is Father to the Man
After the death of his father, Dylan struggles with his inner turmoil while trying to evade the reporters who have taken over his front yard. Speculation swirls that Jack was murdered due to his connections with the mob, putting Dylan in the spotlight as the next potential victim. Kelly feels uneasy when Brenda suggests Dylan stay with the Walsh family. Meanwhile, David has to skip the post-funeral gathering for a recording session but decides to reschedule, arriving just in time to prevent Dylan from drinking. Dylan receives a mysterious phone call about a secret meeting, where he discovers that his father was released from prison in exchange for aiding an FBI sting on a mob leader. He learns that Jack wanted him to know the truth if anything ever happened. Christine, also an FBI agent, planned to leave the bureau to marry Jack.
