A missing ring from the Mandarin opens a time rift, pulling Julia into it. Iron Man, with Bruce Banner's assistance, successfully retrieves the ring, but just as they're about to rescue Julia, The Leader intervenes and takes it for himself. Now in possession of two of the Mandarin’s rings, The Leader schemes to journey back in time to the moment before the gamma bomb explosion, aiming to seize the power of the Incredible Hulk for himself.
