After observing that no one sticks to their New Year's resolutions, Frankie comes up with a plan to assign them anonymously to each family member. To motivate everyone, she offers an all-you-can-eat buffet as a reward for anyone who can successfully stick to their resolution for a week. However, things quickly spiral out of control as Frankie finds herself spending more time with Brick, Mike is challenged to smile more often, Axl has to keep his room tidy, Sue needs to stop auditioning for things she’s unlikely to get, and Brick must cut back on his reading.
