Dr. Mariah Crawford has successfully formulated a potential cure for Spider-Man's condition, yet she hesitates to administer the experimental serum due to fears it might strip him of his powers permanently. Following a heated confrontation with Spider-Man, she ultimately decides to give him the serum. Meanwhile, Michael Morbius secretly watches Peter at the ESU lab and steals the infected blood sample after Peter departs for the evening. Alone in the campus bell tower, Morbius experiments with makeshift equipment, leading to a catastrophic incident that alters his life forever.
