While on a sailing excursion close to Hong Kong, Harm finds himself seized by the Chinese military. They pressure him to disclose the U.S. stance regarding a potential forceful takeover of two islands claimed by Taiwan. To extract this information, the Chinese utilize psychological tactics, even placing Harm's father in a neighboring cell to unsettle him. Meanwhile, Commander Krennick and Lieutenant Austin are presented with a bargain that promises Harm's release in exchange for granting asylum to a Chinese military official. The story unfolds in Hong Kong and Nantou, China.
