Professor Shane continues to inspire Bonnie to embrace her powers, but he soon finds himself in peril after divulging too much to an untrustworthy figure. Later, Caroline tries to console Tyler following a brutal altercation, while Damon and Matt train Jeremy at the lake house, only for Klaus to grow impatient with their progress and take matters into his own hands.
