The Repair Shop
S07E06 Indian Sitar
Jay Blades and his team set out to restore three beloved family heirlooms, each carrying its own rich memories. Jay welcomes new expert Kaviraj Singh to assist in repairing a broken Indian stringed instrument, a sitar that holds sentimental value for siblings Kesar and Parveen, who were heartbroken when it was damaged. Leather specialist Suzie Fletcher tackles a historic flying jacket worn by a courageous RAF Spitfire pilot during World War II, which his grandson hopes to wear and eventually pass down to his own children. Meanwhile, mechanical whiz Steve Fletcher faces the challenge of reviving a damaged toy bird that has lost its ability to chirp, working to mend its broken wing and bellows to bring it back to life.
