The showdown between Sakamichi and Yuto kicks off with Yuto thrilled to face off against the so-called Mountain King. He challenges Sakamichi to a race towards their teammates at the front, finding Sakamichi’s dedication to "riding for the team" a bit odd as he speeds ahead. Meanwhile, Imaizumi and Naruko notice Sakamichi closing in, resulting in a dead heat. Just then, Kuroda and the rest of Hakone Academy catch up, taking charge of the race. With the stakes high, Imaizumi is left to decide whether to pursue them or hold out for Teshima.
