S01E06 The Red Rose and the Briar

Alden and Cotton encounter an actual witch, while an unexpected ally steps in to prevent the coven from locating their lost sister. Tituba experiences feelings of exclusion when Mary chooses to welcome a new member into the coven. As Mary mentors her new recruit, she reflects on her own journey following the dramatic events that led to Alden leaving town seven years prior. Meanwhile, Alden and Cotton are horrified to discover that the trials have been benefiting the witches, and soon find themselves in a perilous situation when they lose control of their prisoner.
