After years in the shadows, Killian McCrane, Ultra's most wanted criminal, reappears, prompting Stephen to ask John for assistance in locating him. Initially hesitant, John reconsiders when he discovers that Killian's intentions don't involve Jedikiah, contrary to popular belief. Stephen is eager to help, but Cara reminds him of John's troubling past with Killian, which stirs up painful memories and leads John to make a choice he never imagined he would face again. Meanwhile, Stephen's mother grows suspicious about his activities, creating an uncomfortable situation for him.
