The force behind a moving object, such as you on your bicycle, is influenced by both the combined weight of you and your bike and your speed as you race downhill. An elephant pedaling a bike carries greater momentum than a mouse on a bike at the same velocity. Conversely, a mouse on a speedy bike possesses more momentum than one on a slower ride. If an elephant is zooming by on a fast bike, it’s wise to steer clear!
