The Patient
S08E10 Mexican Microbrews and Pub Fare
Many of us have fond memories of sipping our first Mexican beer on the beach with a twist of lime. Now, an exciting beer revolution is unfolding in the Baja peninsula. Rick visits the Tecate brewery, established in 1944, before heading to a Tijuana microbrewery known for its craft beers. At Ultramarinos, a bar in Ensenada that specializes in pairing unique brews with fresh seafood, Rick relishes an oyster taco alongside owner Alain Genchi. He also encounters two expatriates in Los Cabos, who are brewing their own beer to pair with delicious beer-infused pizza. Back home, Rick bakes a tomatillo and chorizo pizza in his wood-fired oven. Cheers!
