The Tunnel
S30E02 Weston; House Plan Virtual Tour
As host Kevin O'Connor arrives, he discovers the old house has been completely removed, with general contractor Tom Silva using an excavator to tear down the chimney and foundation. The demolished concrete and bricks will be crushed and repurposed as base material for future roadways, while the remaining house parts are being stored at Springfield, Massachusetts's ReStore for transformation into affordable housing. Kevin meets John Grossman, who explains the non-profit’s operations and shares the amount of salvaged materials from the house. Later, in Walpole, New Hampshire, Kevin connects with architect Chris Adams and homeowner Amy Favat to explore her vision for their family's new home through an innovative 3-D design program.
