The headlines blared: Fortunato walks free, as the key witness had mysteriously committed suicide. At 9 p.m., feeling defeated, Ness heads to Socrates Eatery for a plate of spaghetti. There, he runs into his old high school friend, Frank Barber. The two reminisce about their glory days at Garfield High, sharing laughs as they recall Barber’s reign as the star quarterback and Ness as his favorite receiver.
