Steve pulls up to find Roger outside, hauling away the last pieces of the demolished driveway. Inside, a recovering Tom Silva—fresh out of surgery and walking with a cane—is already back on the job. He shows Steve an extruded polystyrene crown molding held in place with joint compound, no nails needed. In the kitchen, soapstone installer Glenn Bowman demonstrates how his crew customizes the counters on-site. Later, Glenn takes Steve into the Vermont woods to prospect for soapstone in an old abandoned quarry. Back in the garage, Dave Hahn is installing sectional overhead doors designed to mimic original 1920s swing-out style.
