Contractor Mark Dimeo fires up a 30-inch diamond blade to slice a fresh doorway into the basement’s existing foundation. Meanwhile, host Steve Thomas checks in with painting contractor Jim Clark to see how a new non-toxic chemical stripper is handling the house’s thick layers of exterior paint. Architect David Stirling and homeowner Kime Whittemore brainstorm ways to address the home’s uneven roof dormers. Later, Steve and Kim head out to pick out windows for the new addition.
